120 new residential homes arranged around a new landscaped courtyard adjacent to the railway station in Basildon town centre. The scheme included a new education information facility on the ground floor of this key regeneration site as well as parking for 70 cars. The new building was configured around a newly created public realm at the centre of the development and provided mixed tenure homes.
This project was new-build mixed-use development with curtain walling and thermally broken windows managed to create large contemporary entrances and glazed areas to contrast with the brick and cladded facade.
Residents benefit from the use of a south facing private landscaped courtyard that offers sunlight throughout the day and an important amenity space for urban living.
